Procedures and Rules for the Sydney Olympic Park 20th Anniversary Photography Competition

Events Time

Competition time: 28 December 2020 - 14 February 2021.

 

28 December 2020:

On this competition day, photos themed at the Sydney Olympics would be collected from the whole Sydney. Contestants must log in the official website, fill in personal information (name, phone number, email address, age) and upload photos. Photos that have successfully signed up the competition and passed the review will be exhibited on the website.

17 January 2021:

Deadline for signing up for the competition and uploading photos, 60 out of which would be selected by professional judges.

22 January 2021:

Voters will start voting and select 3 most favourite photos out of the 60 selected photos on the website (The Popular Choice Award).

6 February 2021:

Voting ends on the website and the top 3 photos will get the Popular Choice Award. Besides, the professional judges will also select another 3 photos for the Best Professional Award.

14 February 2021:

New Year Event-Photography Exhibition Award: 3 photos for the Popular Choice Award, 3 photos for the Best Professional Award and the judges will comment on these works. 60 selected photos will be exhibited in the property of the Olympic Park.

Scope of Activities:

The activity is open to the whole Sydney, aiming to show the lifestyle related to the Sydney Olympic Park from various angles through photography, and all related photos could sign up for the competition.

 

Requirements

1. Each entry must have a title.

2. The size of the uploaded photos should be within 1,920 pixels (1920 pixels at maximum in height and width).

3. The photos should have distinct themes with no negative effects, and they should be in line with laws and regulations in Australia.

4. All entries must be original works and contestants shall own the copyright of their works without any intellectual property disputes. Plagiarism and reprinting from other sources are not allowed. The copyright, portrait right and all other legal liabilities related to the works shall be borne by the contestants.

5. Once cheating behaviour in the voting is detected, the contestants will be disqualified from participating in the competition and winning the awards.

6. The organizer reserves the right to the final interpretation of the event, and participants shall be deemed to agree to the above terms and conditions.

2. Technical skills of photo-taking

3. The subject of the photo must be in line with the requirements of the competition.

4. The images should be entertaining.

5. Aesthetics of the photos.
